PRE-CONSTRUCTION

At Nixon Custom Homes, we believe the success of the project begins in preconstruction and are committed to being an integral partner to ensure that your goals are realized throughout the duration of the project—from kickoff to completion. We bring our unparalleled experienced advice and recommendations during preconstruction which occurs in conjunction with the design and development phases of the project. Nixon Custom Homes serves as our clients’ advocates, working to ensure that your interests are secure, performance is achieved, and visions are realized.

During the preconstruction phase of the project, we will collaborate with the architect in the development of the budget as well as perform cost control, value engineering, option analysis, life cycle cost analysis and constructability reviews. Our team will work with the design team to devise accurate and complete budgets and establish design and cost parameters based on your values and priorities. Throughout preconstruction, we will advocate for the project’s durability and safety, cost containment and building performance.

Our approach is collaborative and proactive. We partner with the architect, members of the design team and subcontractors to inform decision making for cost benefit analysis, value engineering, system maintenance, performance and much more.

With more than 33 years of experience, we possess the expertise and ability to understand the architect’s intent and execute the design to realize your vision for your home. At Nixon Custom Homes, we only work with the finest subcontractors and suppliers to ensure that each home is constructed with the utmost skill and highest quality materials available.

Our project managers oversee all aspects of the job—the schedule, budget, subcontractors and inspections—ensuring every single step of the process is thoroughly planned, prepared and executed. We understand that communication is key to the success of the project and will proactively be in contact with all parties involved to manage any problems that may arise and keep everyone up-to-date on project progress.

Utilizing Nixon Custom Homes during the preconstruction phase will eliminate redesign, enable schedule adherence and optimize the budget—ultimately setting your project up for success.

Our priority is to be as transparent as possible about the building process throughout the entire project. We are committed to the highest standards of building, and our dedicated team possesses the experience and the knowledge to deliver a superior and successful project.

POST CONSTRUCTION

We approach project closeout proactively and begin the process during preconstruction to prevent any delays in completion. This enables our team to efficiently streamline closeout, turning the project over to our clients quickly.

We offer an industry-leading warranty that includes one year for material and craftsmanship, two years for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing, and ten years for structure.

Along with our subcontractor partners, we will test all operating systems and utilities to ensure that they are performing flawlessly as well as collect and handover all documentation including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and product and labor warranties.

Even after project closeout, we continue to follow up with our clients to ensure that their home is as promised and continues to perform as intended.
